Tell Me What You See is such an obscure Beatles track that even composer Paul McCartney barely recalls it.
“I seem to remember it as mine… Not awfully memorable” - Paul
The song is perhaps most interesting for its instrumentation, which includes a Hohner Pianet, a tambourine, claves, and a güiro.

I don’t know why, but here it is. The Beatles sitting around, eating fish and chips with their greasy hands. And George Harrison on an exercise bike to boot. Weird stuff. Nice music though.

Nobody got the answer to the twelfth edition of the Beatles Blog Quiz, so I’ll leave it open for now. Here’s Question Thirteen. Name that Beatles song based on the post and the photo. If you know the answer, write it in a message.
I’m back in Vancouver for a visit. I’m pretty exhausted from travelling. […]

Buy this George Harrison Rickenbacker poster
George Harrison’s second track on “Help!” is the cute, but forgettable keyboard-based tune, You Like Me Too Much.
I find it strange that George, by far the best guitarist of the band, would write a song that relies so much on a Steinway grand piano and a Hohner pianet, both played […]

Buy this poster of The Who
As I reported last month, close Beatles associate Neil Aspinall died of lung cancer on 24 March. He was buried yesterday in Twickenham, England. According to contactmusic.com, famous funeral attendees included John Lennon’s widow Yoko Ono, their son Julian Lennon, James and Stella McCartney (two of Paul McCartney’s children), Ringo […]

Buy This Beatles Poster
Side Two of The Beatles Album Help! starts with a cover of Act Naturally, a song originally recorded by Buck Owen. But as I decided way back when, I’m only going to review actual Beatles compositions on our journey through the band’s entire discography. Maybe I’ll do a series on songs The […]

The Beatles are, of course, from Liverpool. But John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr recorded most of their songs in London, and it was there that they lived (on-and-off) for the bulk of the band’s life. Here is a look at some of the London landmarks made famous by The Fab Four.
Abbey […]
