February 3 - 1964. "Meet The Beatles!" LP and "I Want To Hold Your Hand" / "I Saw Her Standing There" single both certified gold in US.
February 4 - 1965. Maclen (Music) Limited, publishing company for John Lennon and Paul McCartney, is incorporated.
February 5 - 1969. "Yellow Submarine" LP is certified gold in US.
February 6 - 1968. "Lady Madonna" and "The Inner Light" recording completed.
February 7 - 1964. The Beatles arrive in New York for a 10 day tour.
February 8 - 1958. Paul McCartney introduces George Harrison to John Lennon at a Quarry Men concert. George impresses John with a rendition of "Raunchy".
February 9 - 1964. The Beatles play The Ed Sullivan Show. Their first performance in the US wows 728 studio audience members and an estimated 73 million television viewers. Click here for video of The Beatles performing on The Ed Sullivan Show.
