Like A Rolling Stone - Ron Wood Shows Up at a Beatles Convention (With Audio)
Throughout the 1960s, there was supposely fierce rivalry between The Beatles and that other British rock band, The Rolling Stones.
Apparently Ronnie Wood figured it was time to bury the supposed hatchet when he showed up at a Beatles convention this past weekend in New York.
According to an article posted on Yahoo! UK News, Wood invited George Harrison’s first wife Pattie Boyd for a night on the town with friends. She suggested instead that he join her at the convention instead.
“The fans were shocked and stunned as I ushered Ronnie through the crowd to the gallery in the hotel, where Boyd was displaying her exhibit of historic photographs and original ’60s mod outfits.” - Beatles Convention host Martin Lewis
The crowd began an impromptu version of “I Wanna Be Your Man”, the Lennon/McCartney penned song that The Rolling Stones recorded in 1963, giving them their first single in the UK top 20.
Ronnie Wood joined The Rolling Stones in 1975, long after The Beatles had broken up.

[…] Beatlesinvation tells us about Ronnie Wood recently turning up at a Beatles convention, as if to “bury the hatchet” when I was never really aware there was a cold war scenario there at all, if you check your history, there wasn´t actually much chance anyway. Still there is always controversy over that 1963 hit “I wanna be your man”. […]
