Paul McCartney’s Divorce from Heather Mills Settled

Paul McCartney must pay ex-wife Heather Mills £24.3 million according to a ruling handed down by the British High Court. While the judgement was delivered yesterday, the court decided to publish it in full today. The 58 page document includes scathing criticism of Mills as an exaggerating and unimpressive witness, while Paul is described in the best of terms.
Mills was seeking £125 million and several news agencies speculated that she would receive at least £50 million, which would have made this the largest divorce settlement in British history. In the end, she received far less.
The one part of Justice Bennett’s ruling that I found troubling was this quote:
“The wife for her part must have felt rather swept off her feet by a man as famous as the husband.” - Justice Bennett
Heather Mills lost a leg in an accident many years ago.
