September 22 - 1967. Time magazine cover is a Gerard Scarfe drawing: "The Beatles/Their new incarnation".
September 23 - 1974. John’s only US #1 single (before his death) "Whatever Gets You Thru The Night" / "Beef Jerky" released.
September 24 - 1971. John appears on "The Dick Cavett Show".
September 25 - 1965. "The Beatles" cartoon series premieres in the US.
September 26 - 1965. "Abbey Road" LP released in UK.
September 27 - 1964. Brian Epstein and Ringo are judges at a pop talent contest for charity in London.
September 28 - 1968. "Hey Jude" becomes the #1 single on US charts.
September 29 - 1967. John and George appear live on "The Frost Programme".
