This week’s roundup features lots of singles, lots of firsts, and a visit with Pink Floyd.

March 16 - 1964. “Can’t Buy Me Love” / “You Can’t Do That” single released in the US.
March 17 - 1970. “Let It Be” single certified gold in the US.
March 18 - 1968. “Lady Madonna” / “The Inner Light” single released in the US.
March 19 - 1996. Beatles compilation “Anthology 2″ is released on two CDs.
March 20 - 1964. “Can’t Buy Me Love” / “You Can’t Do That” single released in the UK. A world record 2.1 million advance copies were sold, making it an instant gold record on both sides of the Atlantic.
March 21 - 1967. Pink Floyd, at Abbey Road to record their first album, are brought in to meet The Beatles.

March 22 - 1963. The Beatles first album “Please Please Me” is released in the UK.
