Track - “And I Love Her”

Written for girlfriend Jane Asher, "And I Love Her" is an unusual Paul song. The instrumentation is quiet and sparse. Ringo plays bongos with George adding a clave. The key switches back and forth between E and C#m, going to F for the solo, and to Dm at the end. Naming the song from the middle of a sentence was also somewhat of an innovation. While most of the song is no doubt Paul’s, he and John later each claimed to have written the middle eight.
The song was released as a single in the US (backed by "If I Fell", peaking at #12) and other countries, but not in the UK.
